Archos Protective Case for Archos 7 Home Tablet (Black) Review

Archos Protective Case for Archos 7 Home Tablet (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I got this case to protect my Home 7 tablet. This case is actually a sleeve; one removes the tablet in order to use it. So if you want a case that can be used while the table is turned on, look elsewhere. I prefer to remove my device before use - it seems so much easier and simpler. Anyway, this case protects the tablet while it is not in use.
The case is constructed of two large sides (a little larger than the tablet), and is open at one end with a elastic band at the other end to hold the device in. Each side has some cardboard to keep it in the correct shape when the tablet is not in the case. The Home Tablet 7 slips in snugly. Removal is also easy, by simply pushing out on the end with the elastic. This is a great design; it would have been difficult to remove such a snug fit if only one end had been open. Construction is of good quality leather.
Overall, this case looks nice and by all indications will do a good job protecting the Archos Home 7 tablet. Recommended.

Pandigital Novel Personal eReader - eBook reader - Linux - 2 GB - 6" TFT ( 600 x 800 ) - touchscreen Review

Pandigital Novel Personal eReader - eBook reader - Linux - 2 GB - 6 TFT ( 600 x 800 ) - touchscreen
Average Reviews:

I bought my personal ereader from a vendor on this site about a month ago, and have been using it as a replacement for my old nook reader. I know I tend to break anything with eInk screens, so I wanted something cheap and light for my commute, which I can read in the daylight on the bus.
I don't hate this ereader, in fact overall I do like it. Unlike my favorite ereader, TheBook put out by Augen last year, the internet browser can run pretty fast, and the touch screen operates with no difficulty. I find the type of eInk screen to be easy on the eyes, and the text rendering is great. Many of the other extras, the calendar, dictionary, sudoku puzzle, work without a problem.
My only issue is with the processor itself. Once you put in more than say, 500 files worth of books, music, etc., it slows down and the batteries drain. I know the specs say it has 2gb and it can take up to 32 gb on a microsd card, but it just slows down. Does not matter if I have it on the card, or on the onboard memory.
And believe me, I like the linux based budget readers, especially since I live with small kids and tend to break things. But I can even make the literati hold more than 500 files.
I am keeping it, but I thought I should post this review as a warning. It's not a gripe against the People at Pandigital, and I would suggest this reader if the nook is too pricey for you. Just bear in mind, after 500 files, it slows.

Samsung Replenish Android Phone, Blue (Sprint) Review

Samsung Replenish Android Phone, Blue (Sprint)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been using smart phones since the PPC-6600. Eventually worked up to Blackberrys. Then to Android phone with the HTC Hero when it was introduced. Loved the operating system, but missed the keyboard from the Blackberry.
Saw the Samsung Replenish being introduced. Looked like a combination of my favorite things. Android operating system with a full keyboard that wasn't a slider like my Touch Pro or the Samsung Epic I almost upgraded to.
Set up was easy using my Google account. All my contacts and schedules synced smoothly.
But some apps I like using I found out were not compatible like Best Buy and my local news stations here in Cincinnati. Which is a bummer because I liked being able to hit the WLWT Channel 5 app to get updates on local happenings.
Sprint support has not been able to give me a reason why some apps will not work.
So I have to use the browser, but the native browser was very slow. Even slower than the browser on the Hero. So I downloaded Opera Mini and it works much faster.
Another thing I noticed it does take longer to charge than the Hero, plus it gets very warm.
I like the phone, I am not the power user. It has served me well with email and texting.

Samsung Replenish Android Phone, Black (Sprint) Review

Samsung Replenish Android Phone, Black (Sprint)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)

Android 2.2.2
Blackberry style keyboard
-ECO FRIENDLY NO $10 premium data (a plus because I'm a college student)
-WiFi
-Battery life is WAY better that many smartphones.
-Very Sold feel. I like how it holds in my hand.
The case on the back scratches easily. I think it's my fault because my keys were in my pocket for a short trip to the store.
-Overall, it's made for just the average user. The screen is a decent size (how much do you really need?)
-Fits nicely in your pocket. I don't need a brick!
-Hasn't freezed yet :)
-Excited for the solar charger (sold separately on Sprint.com)
-It takes a couple of days to get used to the keyboard.Don't get it if you have big fingers. The Vibrate is a little weak, I think they designed it for notifications instead of the older (VVVVVVVVVVVV ), oh well.
-No flash support (I can live without, it can still Youtube)
I love it! Being modernly eco friendly and up to date, this phone is sweet. It's very dependable with the battery life if you know how to use Android properly. I definately recc. to a friend. In fact my brother is going to buy one.
(My opinion below)
Overall: 4.4/5
Performance:4/5
Battery Life:3.9/5
Look and Feel:4/5++++++EDIT++++++++++ First time users will notice that the battery takes forever to charge. After about a week, it will charge within an hour to an hour+1/2.
Using JuiceDefender and Advanced Task Killer (2 free apps) has greatly improved my experience. There's plenty of memory to go round as long as your not running a ton of apps.

iHip Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPod (White) Review

iHip Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPod (White)
Average Reviews:

I'm just not wowed by this item at all.
The only thing about it that I really like is the dimmer button. It is so lightweight it moves way too easy, it has fallen off the nightstand just from turning if off. It does charge your ipod, but you've got to get it on there "just right" for it to register. The radio signal doesn't seem to work too well in our home. Overall the sound isn't that great, but there again, if you want alarm clock, just buy an alarm clock.... I wouldn't recommend this for a solid docking station option.
