iGo powerXtender Universal Battery Operated Charger Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I use this to recharge my ipod while I am on an airplane. I watch movies on my ipod and the power always drains down before we land. This works like a charm - I plug in my ipod towards the end of one movie, and it fully recharges before the end of the movie, while I am still watching my Ipod. I use the charger that requires 2 AA batteries. I have heard the one that does not use batteries is not the one to get, that you want the batteries. I have flown for 2 months since getting this, and have not had to change the batteries yet.
The only con for this product is that the charger light is this annoying bright blue light. Its placed so that when I am charging my Ipod, the blue light has to face me. I put things over the charger to not have to see that light.

Energizer XP4001 Universal Rechargeable Power Pack Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have found this to be a great way to carry a load of portable power when I'm in "road warrior" mode. The two USB connectors can be used simultaneously to give both my phones a top-up, and in a pinch I can even use it to recharge one of my smaller batteries (Kensington K33442, 1000mAh and DLG DLA52527, 1200mAh) that attach to my iPhone.
There are a few disappointments. That gray grip that looks so much like rubber is really just gray hard plastic, so it's not non-slip. The charge indicator, as far as I can tell, is one LED. If it comes on, there's power. If it doesn't, well, I guess there isn't. The manual doesn't explain further.
The "Free Tips for Life" deal is bogus, too. Yes, they'll send you free tips (up to two per year), but you will pay a shipping and processing fee on EACH of them (even if they ship together) that's more than the cost of the tip and probably ten times what they cost to ship and "process."
All in all a great product, but some deductions must be made for the lack of a workable power gauge and the bogus "Tips for Life" scam.

iHome IB969G Charging Station for iPad, iPod, iPhone, BlackBerrys and eReaders Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)A great solution for charging up an assortment of Apple gadgets. It provides the extra power needed to charge an iPad while it's powered on. The USB ports on most PC's only put out 500mw and the iPad needs 1000mw to be charged while it's in use. I like that you can charge 4 devices at once and only use a single power outlet.
Plus it makes a great stand for the iPad. We keep this in the kitchen and we can view recipes on the iPad while it's resting in the stand. When you price out decent iPad stands, this becomes a greater bargain.
There were a couple of peeves, but nothing serious. It does not come with an Apple dock connector USB cable. They are cheap enough, like this one, but iHome could have tossed one in. Also the phone charging cable needs to use the included mini to micro adapter. Mobile phones have pretty much standardized on the micro USB connector, a cable like this (except shorter) should have been included.
