(More customer reviews)I was a bit disappointed by this charger, as I had used both the palm pre car charger and a cheapo ebay charger with my HTC evo, and the phone recognized both of those as 1A chargers and displayed as being charged by the AC adapter. I bought this charger expecting as much, as it is rated at 1A and I liked the low profile of it.
Unfortunately, the phone recognizes it as a USB port and defaults to charging at 500mA, which is a much slower charge and I cannot use the Navigation for extended periods without losing battery. I have heard that just altering the cable or getting certain cables will remedy this and draw the full 1A, I just wish I wouldn't have to go find all this stuff. The design is very good though, no problems using either of the ports on my 2006 Mini.
